The proposed structures vary in height, encompassing towers from 6 to 47 stories. Positioned at 1131 Bloor Street West, the property is in the pre-construction phase and is anticipated to house approximately 2219 residential units. The development plans to integrate vibrant storefronts inspired by the neighborhood’s existing charm and feature a plaza and atrium to serve as distinctive entry points and landmarks.
This expansive residential complex aims to redefine urban living, offering a comprehensive array of on-site amenities. With its stunning design and urban convenience, the development promises to fulfill the diverse needs of its future inhabitants.
Features and Amenities of Bloor & Dufferin Condominiums
The project is graced with the creative input of globally renowned architectural firms such as Hariri Pontarini Architects and Giannone Petricone Associates, alongside heritage experts ERA Architects. The site will feature seven structures with varied stories – 6, 11, 11, 25, 30, 44, and 47 – totaling 2219 units. These will include 54.5% one-bedroom, 35.5% two-bedroom, 7% three-bedroom, and 3% bachelor units.
Designed with the vision of creating a self-contained, multifunctional hub, the project will encompass commercial, retail, residential, and community spaces. Retail areas will spread across 200,000 square feet, office spaces will take up approximately 52,000 square feet, and community spaces will cover 30,000 square feet, including a grocery store.
The historic Kent Senior Public School, which includes the Toronto School of the Arts, is part of the site and will be thoughtfully integrated into the new design. Near the Dufferin Mall, plans for a public park at the southwest corner are underway.
