In 2023, the demand for new homes and condos has slightly decreased, according to Remax (1). Despite the decrease, the prices for condos and homes have not been affected, staying the same price.
In 2024, the market is expected to balance out for Hamilton, with prices expected to rise by 3.5% to around $832,000. One feature of the market that shows promise is the forecasted pick-up in condominium purchases for the new year. Condo sales in Hamilton increased by 19%. However, benchmarked prices decreased by 6% to around $490,000. Hence, the market will be balanced, with one contributing factor being the growing condo market.
